Richmond pianist

I am an experienced pianist and vocalist offering my services as a musician in South West London. Based in Twickenham, I provide tuition to pupils of all levels, as well as providing accompaniment for choirs, societies and instrumental and vocal examinations. I also offer my skills and expertise in musical direction, leading choirs and vocal groups in the area. Providing music for weddings and events is a real highlight of my work and I love bringing something individual and memorable to special occasions.

I discovered a love for singing and performance in my late teens. I studied music and drama in Bath, specialising in voice under Judy Davis and piano under Peter Blackwood. Whilst at university, I maintained a small private practice of pupils where I unearthed my passion for teaching.

After qualifying as a primary school teacher, I continued to take lead roles in various musicals and operas throughout the South West of England, with a wide range of productions including The Magic Flute, Candide, A Masked Ball, Honk!, and Snoopy the Musical. I became a familiar accompanist around the Bath and Bristol area, playing for a variety of groups and societies including The Mendip Male Voice Choir, Bath Opera and The Gilbert and Sullivan Society. I was musical director for Bath-based theatre company Next Stage, through which I toured with several highly acclaimed productions.

Iā€™m very pleased to be Musical Director of The Dover House Singers, a community choir based in Putney. I have recently started leading singing sessions for people affected by dementia; you can find out more here.
