Season's Greetings

It has been wonderful to spread some Christmas joy through music over the past month, and thank you to all my pupils and supporters for your boundless enthusiasm for all things festive!

It was a privilege to lead the first ‘scratch’ Pub Choir at the Teddington Christmas Lights Up on November 28th, where a collection of 25 random singers came together to form a choir to wow the crowds! Three Christmas Pub Choirs at each of the pubs provided much fun and jollity to over 150 people, and also helped raised around 300 for local charities. Plus, some festive music made the last Good Morning Choir of the year extra special - thank you to my loyal band of Wednesday morning singers! I’ve also had the pleasure of leading sing-a-longs for LAERA in Twickenham, FOSS at St. Stephen’s School and for the Kingston Clinical Commissioning Group’s Christmas party.

In other projects, it was a pleasure to welcome the Mayor of Wandsworth Cllr. Jane Cooper (pictured) to the Dover House Singers Christmas concert in Putney on 14th December, where we raised over £1200 for Regenerate-RISE, a Putney-based charity that supports the isolated elderly. Members of the choir and myself also spent a few wet and chilly hours carol singing at East Putney and Wandsworth Town stations this week to raise further funds for their re-ablement centre project. Christmas and music combined really does bring out the best in people!

Thank you once again and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
